Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program: Provides low-income households in Ferry, Lincoln, Stevens and Pend Oreille counties with heating assistance one time a year. The federal government limits the amount of funds available to Rural Resources for this program and funding varies each year.

Project Share: Heating assistance for residents of Ferry, Lincoln and Stevens Counties funded by donations from private citizens and customers of Avista and Inland Power. Project Share pays for oil, wood, electricity, natural gas or other forms of primary heat for households in danger of losing their heat source and who have nowhere else to turn for help.

Avista Limited Income Rate Assistance Program (LIRAP): To supplement existing funding sources to help meet the needs of low- and fixed-income families and individuals who have no other sources of help. This program serves only Avista customers in Ferry, Lincoln and Stevens Counties.

LIRAP Senior Energy Outreach Program: Assists seniors with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level with the objective of reaching fixed-income seniors who face hardship due to increased energy, medical and prescription costs.
